CE 5233 - Foundation Engineering

Sem. Hrs: 3

Prediction of soil variation, soil investigations, stress distribution and bearing capacity, dewatering analysis and procedures, and settlements. The design and analysis of retaining structures and lateral earth pressures, shallow foundations, pile foundations. Three foundation design projects are required.

Prerequisites: C or better in CE 2202 and CE 4253.
