Laboratory experiments emphasizing heat treatment of metals, mechanical properties of metals (modulus, hardness, and impact toughness), alloy phase diagrams, grain size analysis, and other topics related to advanced materials and manufacturing. Fall.

Prerequisites: a grade of C or better in ME 3503 .
