ME 4533 - Fundamentals of Acoustics and Noise

Introduction to acoustics, noise and noise control with emphasis on engineering applications. Plane waves, sound intensity, and wave propagation. Resonators and standing waves. Analysis of sound. Noise measurement, criteria, control and relevant standards with industrial and environmental applications. Irregular.

Prerequisites: C or better in ME 3513 .
