The Pre-Kindergarten Academy is a specific initial licensure program for the Arkansas Pre-Kindergarten license.  Admission includes admission to Graduate School, passing the required state Praxis Subject Licensure Exam for Arkansas Pre-Kindergarten/Early Childhood licensure, completion of at least eighteen college credit hours of approved professional area (early childhood) coursework, and working in an approved Pre-Kindergarten program.  Six hours of coursework (ECH 5033, ECH 6053) are offered in the summer followed by a year-long internship in an approved setting.
