Historical and current trends in teaching social studies at the secondary school level. Major emphasis on content and concept development and their application in the social studies classroom. Practice in writing objectives, applying teaching techniques, and formulating student evaluations. Must be admitted to the Teacher Education Program. Fall.

Prerequisites: Admission to Teacher Education, completion of all general education and major requirements.
Corequisites: HIST 4312, SCED 4004.
