BIO 2042 - Biotechnology in Global Society

An introduction to the world-wide impact of biotechnology, including applications to plants, animals, and microorganisms. Introduction and exploration of basic concepts of genetic engineering, scientific and ethical issues, and public concerns related to biotechnology. Lecture two hours per week. Spring.
