GIS 5743 - Principles of Cartography

Sem. Hrs: 3

The science of cartography with an emphasis on the use of maps as descriptive and analytical visualization tools for spatial analysis. Laboratory work introduces GIS based mapping including ethics, generalization, design and symbolization.

Prerequisites: GIS 3543 or GIS 4543 or GIS 5043  or GIS 5543 .
